LTT System Operations Training
This course will provide an understanding of the LTT System, its operational components and its interaction with the network.
Description
The course will cover:
Key functions on a detailed, bottom-up worksite basis for:
- CSO control;
- Air management control;
System maintenance capabilities (introductory only):
- Penstock exercising functions;
- Storm pump testing functions;
- Condition based monitoring functions;
Network and LTT system interactions at:
- Beckton STW and Abbey Mills PS;
- Beckton STW and Tideway PS;
- Crossness STW and Greenwich PS;
- Earl – Greenwich PS subsystem;
- King Edwards Memorial Park - NE Storm Relief (NESR);
- Blackfriars Bridge Foreshore;
- Victoria Embankment;
- Western Pumping Station and Chelsea Embankment;
- Lots Road PS/Cremorne Wharf;
- Albert Embankment subsystem (including Heathwall PS);
- Falconbrook PS;
- Hammersmith PS;
- Acton, West Putney and Putney Bridge CSOs subsystem;
- Frogmore Tunnel subsystem;
LTT SCADA (introductory only):
- System view;
- SCADA alarms
Monitoring and reporting process
Outcomes
On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:
- Understand the LTT system and its interaction with the network and the sewage treatment works;
- Be aware of the consequences of network changes on the LTT system operation;
- Have increased confidence in TWUL’s role as the LTT System Operator.
Competency/Skills Requirements
Before attending the training session, Delegates are expected to complete:
- LTT System Overview;
Before attending the training, Delegates are also expected to have:
- A background in wastewater operations;
- TWUL network and/or STW operational knowledge;
