LTT System Operations Training

This course will provide an understanding of the LTT System, its operational components and its interaction with the network.

Description

The course will cover:

  • Key functions on a detailed, bottom-up worksite basis for:
    • CSO control;
    • Air management control;
  • System maintenance capabilities (introductory only):
    • Penstock exercising functions;
    • Storm pump testing functions;
    • Condition based monitoring functions; 
  • Network and LTT system interactions at:
    • Beckton STW and Abbey Mills PS;
    • Beckton STW and Tideway PS;

    • Crossness STW and Greenwich PS;

    • Earl – Greenwich PS subsystem;

    • King Edwards Memorial Park - NE Storm Relief (NESR);

    • Blackfriars Bridge Foreshore;

    • Victoria Embankment;

    • Western Pumping Station and Chelsea Embankment;

    • Lots Road PS/Cremorne Wharf;

    • Albert Embankment subsystem (including Heathwall PS);

    • Falconbrook PS;

    • Hammersmith PS;

    • Acton, West Putney and Putney Bridge CSOs subsystem;

    • Frogmore Tunnel subsystem;

  • LTT SCADA (introductory only):
    • System view;
    • SCADA alarms
  • Monitoring and reporting process

Outcomes

On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:

  • Understand the LTT system and its interaction with the network and the sewage treatment works;
  • Be aware of the consequences of network changes on the LTT system operation;
  • Have increased confidence in TWUL’s role as the LTT System Operator.

Before attending the training session, Delegates are expected to complete:

  • A background in wastewater operations;
  • TWUL network and/or STW operational knowledge;

Similar courses

This course will provide Delegates with the skills needed to respond, interrogate and record faults communicated via various sources such as the LTT SCADA System. The course will include referencing maintenance performed to correct faults recorded in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

This course will provide an appreciation of the LTT system, its components, and interactions with the sewage treatment works and network during operations. It will also provide an understanding of the principles of the LTT Operating Techniques.
