Understanding Telemetry Panel Operation
This course will provide Delegates with information behind the design of the Worksite Telemetry Panels, and how data flows between them and the Worksite Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (provided by the MWCs). The course will also provide Delegates an understanding of the watchdog and relay failures and how to set and amend the maintenance timers within the Telemetry Panels.
Description
Key Topic Areas
The course will cover:
- Health and Safety (relevant for the working environment covered within this course);
- Overview of the Telemetry Panel System Architecture and drawings;
- Data transfer between the MWC Worksite PLC and the MicroLogix PLC (Telemetry Panel);
- The Telemetry Panel Maintenance Timer;
- Watchdog monitoring;
- Power Relay monitoring.
Outcomes
The course will provide Delegates with information behind the design of the worksite Telemetry Panels and the difference between them and the worksite PLCs provided by the MWCs. The course will also provide Delegates with an understanding of the watchdog and relay failures. On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:
- Understand the Telemetry Panel design;
- Understand the data transfer between the MWC Worksite PLCs and the MicroLogix PLCs;
- Be able to set and amend the Telemetry Panel maintenance timer;
- Be able to investigate watchdog failures;
- Be able to investigate power relay failures.
Competency/Skills Requirements
Before attending the training, Delegates are expected to complete:
