Module 1 – Management of Routine and Reactive Maintenance – Telemetry Panel
- Health and Safety (relevant for the working environment covered within this course);
- Refresh of SIC planned maintenance schedules (VI, CI, SPI);
- Explanation of SIC Reactive Maintenance procedures including backups;
- Explanation of SIC O&M manuals for telemetry panels.
Module 2 – Maintaining Telemetry Panel Equipment – Practical
- Health and Safety (relevant for the working environment covered within this course);
- Refresh of Construction Records and Site Layout;
- Walk-through site to locate equipment;
- Visual inspection of equipment;
- Configuration Inspection of equipment;
- System Performance Inspection including Interrogation of system/faults.
- Software and Controls:
- What timers are in the PLC
- What calculations are done in the PLC
- How comms failures work
- Maintenance button
- Identifying which signals go through the Telemetry and which do not
- Identify how the EDM signals work differently from other signals
Outcomes
Module 1 – Management of Routine and Reactive Maintenance – Control Room Equipment
The module will provide Delegates with an understanding of the maintenance plans and schedules for the Telemetry Panel equipment installed on a worksite.
On completion of the training, Delegates will be expected to understand:
- The activities within the maintenance schedules;
- Reactive maintenance procedures and key contacts;
- Backup procedures.
Module 2 – Maintaining Control Room Equipment – Practical
The module will provide Delegates with the practical skills needed to locate and maintain Control Room equipment at the main work sites.
On completion of the training, Delegates will be expected to be able to:
- Locate the Control Room Equipment at a worksite;
- Inspect, clean, and replace components;
- Interrogation of system/faults and resolving issues.
- Replace a firewall (re-configure)
- Replace a router (re-configure)
- Replace a switch (re-configure)
- Unlock/lock a port (for equipment replacement)
- Test a signal from SCADA to Worksite PLC and from Worksite to SCADA
Competency/Skills Requirements
Before attending the training, Delegates are expected to complete:
- LTT System Overview;
- LTT SCADA - Basic Understanding;
- Maintaining Control Room Equipment (Part 1).
Before attending the training, Delegates are also expected to have:
- ICA knowledge and maintenance experience.
