Outcomes

Module 1: System Overview (1 hour)
The course will provide Delegates with information behind the design of the LTT SCADA hardware. The course will provide Delegates with an understanding (at a high level) of the main elements of the system, their locations, and their interrelationship. On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:

  • Understand the function of the Servers within the LTT SCADA system;
  • Understand the function of the Interface and Supervisory panels;
  • Understand the function of the Telemetry Panels;
  • Understand the function of the Control Rooms;
  • Understand the telecommunications interfaces between the elements above;
  • Identify how the MET-Office interface works.

Module 2: Server Equipment and Interfaces (1 hour)

The course will provide Delegates with information on the contents of the Admin and Desal server rooms. Delegates should understand the relationship between the servers and the functions of the devices in the server racks.

Module 3: PSC Panels and Interfaces (1 hour)

The course will provide Delegates with information on the design of the interface and supervisory panels and their role within the system.

On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:

  • Understand the function of the Interface Panel within the LTT SCADA system;
  • Understand the function of the Supervisory Panel within the LTT SCADA system;
  • Understand the Interface Panel design and the function of the components within it;
  • Understand the Supervisory Panel design and the function of the components within it.

Module 4: Control Room Equipment and Interfaces (1 hour)

The course will provide Delegates with information on the Control Room equipment, focusing on the components, architecture, drawings, and their role within the system.

On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:

  • Understand the function of the Control Room within the LTT SCADA system;
  • Understand the function of the Control Room equipment;
  • Understand the function of the Interface and Supervisory panels;
  • Understand the telecommunications interfaces between the elements above.
