Operating and Maintaining FALPS Low Flow Pumping Station eLearning

This course will provide an understanding of the risks inherent in maintaining the mechanical isolations, routine maintenance requirements, reactive maintenance scenarios, access arrangements, including access for remote Closed-circuit Television (CCTV) inspections. It also provides training on how to deploy secondary isolation gates and vortex safety grilles.

This course will provide training on how to inspect the air management plant; check and fine tune the ventilation dampers; undertake routine fan maintenance activities; remove/replace air management plant. It will also introduce possible reactive maintenance scenarios and the recommended responses.

This course will provide training on how to inspect and operate the electrical systems (such as the distribution equipment) at a MWC worksite; check the calibration of the level and temperature instrumentation; inspect the Kiosk building services, including the fire alarm system and the intruder alarm system; inspect the non-architectural lighting.

This course will provide an understanding of the lighting controller equipment. It will also provide training on how to use the lighting controller’s programming software and how to carry out maintenance activities such as changing lamps.

This course will provide an understanding of the control philosophy of the HAMPS Low Flow Pumping Station and operating scenarios. It will provide training on the maintenance requirements for the valves, pumps, and the dry well ventilation system. This course will also provide training on how to operate the dry well ventilation system.

This course will provide an understanding of the ‘Water Feature Plant and Irrigation System’ design and on-site layout, chemical systems used and hazards. It will also provide training on how to operate and inspect the plant and implement emergency shutdowns.

This course will provide training on how to use the HMI to operate plant and interrogate plant status.

This course will provide training on how to operate and inspect the different access cover types used across the Thames Tideway Tunnel (TTT) scheme, including hinged access covers; drop-in access covers, multi-leaf access covers, and beamed multi-leaf access covers. It will also provide training on how to replace the seals on the access covers.

This course introduces the CMMS. It will provide guidance on where to find information in the O&M manuals and an introduction to the maintenance schedules.

This course will provide training on how to inspect the carbon cassettes and deluge pipework; sample and replace the carbon media; replace the carbon cassettes.

This course will provide training on how to carry out routine inspections and maintenance of the air monitoring plant. It will also introduce possible reactive maintenance scenarios and the recommended responses.
