LTT SCADA - Operations - Part 2

This course covers two training modules. On the completion of the course, Delegates will understand the status of tunnel-wide operations; be able to view the Lee Tunnel mimics and understand the status of the Lee Tunnel. Delegates will also understand the interface between the Regional and LTT SCADA and will know how to monitor the status of all worksites, including the status of plant equipment across the LTT.

Description

Outcomes

Module 1 - Status and Condition Monitoring:

This module will show Delegates how the London Tideway Tunnel (LTT) operates.  Delegates will be able to view mimics from other SCADA interfaces and know how to monitor their status.  Training will also provide the Delegates with the skills needed to understand and monitor the Main Works worksites and their equipment.  On completion of the training, Delegates are expected to:

  • Understand the status of tunnel-wide operations;
  • Be able to view the Lee Tunnel mimics and understand the status of the Lee Tunnel;
  • Understand the interface between the Regional and LTT SCADA and be able to monitor the status;
  • Be able to monitor the status of all worksites;
  • Be able to monitor plant status across the LTT.

Module 2 - Interfaces with Regional and Lee Tunnel:

The module will provide delegates with the understanding of the system design of the interface PLCs and how they connect to LTT SCADA.  It will explain how data are transmitted through the systems and how the mimics are displayed, and alarms created.  On completion of the training, Delegates will be expected to understand:

  • The high-level interface system architecture;
  • The data transfer between interfaces;
  • The LTT SCADA screens and mimics (for Lee Tunnel and Regional SCADA);
  • The signal exchange between the interfaces.

Competency/Skills Requirements

Before attending the training, Delegates are expected to complete:

It is recommended that Delegates complete:

Similar courses

This course covers three training modules. On completion of the Course, Delegates will be able to understand and operate the LTT SCADA System during normal wet weather and extreme wet weather and understand how the equipment that is needed and affected by this operation functions.

More Information

This course covers two training modules. On completion of the course, Delegates will understand and know how to amend setpoints within LTT SCADA and understand how operational tasks within LTT SCADA are managed and processed.

More Information

This course covers two training modules. On completion of the course, Delegates will understand how to recognise failures and how they are presented within the LTT SCADA, including the alarms associated with each type of failure. The course will include telecommunication, device, and power failures.
