Maintaining Interface Panel (Part 1)

The course provides information on the as-built documents and the location of SIC installed equipment in the worksites.

Description

The course will cover:

  • Health and Safety (relevant for the working environment covered within this course);
  • Overview of the SIC worksite equipment and its functionality;
  • Explanation of As-built Records;
  • Explanation of Interface panel maintenance requirements;
  • Explanation of how to identify defective equipment.

Competency/Skills Requirements

Before attending the training, Delegates are expected to complete:

  • LTT System Overview;
  • LTT SCADA - Basic Understanding;
  • LTT Tideway Fault Recording;
  • Understanding Server and Control Room Operations

Outcomes

The course will provide Delegates with an understanding of the as-built documents and the location of SIC installed equipment in the worksites.

On completion of the training, Delegates will be expected to:

  • Know how to locate the Interface panel equipment at each worksite;
  • Understand the as-built drawings and records for a worksite;
  • Understand the SIC planned maintenance schedule for the equipment in a panel (VI, CI, SPI);
  • Understand how to identify defective equipment within the Interface Panel;
  • Understand how to reset or replace equipment within the Interface Panel.

Module 1 provides high level information on the main hardware elements of the LTT SCADA system, where they are located, how they are connected and their functionality. It also covers the system role of the Telemetry Panels. Module 2 provides information behind the design of the worksite Telemetry Panels and the difference between them and the worksite PLCs provided by the MWCs. The course also covers PLC functionality.
